The Board develops and implements plans for the effective and efficient use of information technology, computers, telecommunications, and related systems throughout the executive branch and participates in discussions of the same planning for all branches of state government. The Board provides overall leadership, policy direction, strategic planning and coordination of information resources management for the executive branch of state government and public univers-ities, including public access to appropriate state government information resources. It also defines, maintains and publishes timely information resources management architecture relating to the management of information resources by executive branch state agencies, and implements processes and procedures to ensure compliance with the information resources management architecture.
