| The advisory committee is appointed by State Planning Council for guidance on transportation planning and to include citizen views in transportation planning. Members represent a cross-section of the State in terms of geography, population, cultural values, and transportation needs. The Committee reviews and provides input into the transportation planning documents that are approved by the State Planning Council acting in its role as the Metropolitan Planning Organization. |
