| The Executive Committee is appointed by the State Planning Council to provide advice for the Rhode Island Geographic Information System (RIGIS) which is a collective database of comprehensive geographically related information. The Committee provides guidance and coordination of efforts of organizations in Rhode Island using geographic information systems technology and supports initiatives to implement or use the technology. |
